James W. Wilkins

Rev. James Willard Wilkins, 84, passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at his residence in Pine Mountian Valley, GA. Rev. Wilkins preached the gospel for many years and was pastor of several churches. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Cora Franklin Wilkins, his wife of 45 years, Mabel Darlene Wilkins and son James W. (Skipper) Wilkins, Jr. Survivors include his wife, Reba Jo Wilkins; sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Brenda Wilkins of Pine Mountian Valley, Ga, Tom Wilkins and Melanie Burns of Boynton Beach, FL; sister-in-law, Sharon Ratcliff of Louisville, KY; grandchildren, Michael Wilkins, Terry Wilkins and Jenna Burns; great-grandson Jimmy Wilkins and several other grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Monday December 8, from 6-8 pm at the Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow, FL. Funeral services will be held 11 am Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at the Vine Street Church of God, Bartow, FL with Rev. Ricky Lipp, Rev. Kenneth Music, Rev. Herman Music, Rev. Glenn Music, Rev. Lewis Beck officiating. Interment will follow in the Fellowship Cemetery, Wimauma, FL.
