James Claude Walker

James Claude Walker, age 91, passed away Monday, February 24, 2014 at Springwood Center in Sarasota of natural causes. Born April 29, 1922 in Roanoke, AL, Mr. Walker was a resident of Bartow for Since 1997, moving from Alabama. He was a electrician in the phosphate industry for several years. He was a WWII Army Veteran. He was survived by a daughter: Cathy Ledbetter [Larry], Naples, FL; two sons: William "Bill" E Walker [Beth], Lehigh Acres, FL & Charles K Walker, Bartow, FL; 7 grandchildren & 2 great grandchildren. Interment will be held at a later date in Wildwood Cemetery, Bartow.
