James R. "Jim" Evans

James R. "Jim" Evans, age 61, passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2022, in Lakeland. Born April 2, 1961, in Mount Vernon, IL he was the son of the late Robert and Jeanette (Huemmer) Evans. Jim was a Store Manager in the Retail Industry for many years. He was a member of the United Community Church of Bartow. Mr. Evans is survived by his wife of 28 years, Susan (Cannon) Evans of Bartow, his children: Zachary Evans of North Port, Joseph Cannon (Samantha) of Newton, KS, Jessica Swords (Sebastian) of Winter Haven and Rachel Parker (Michael) of Bartow. He also leaves behind his siblings: Richard Evans (LaVeta), Thomas Evans (Linda), Daniel Evans (Barbara), Roberta Evans, Gregory Evans, his granddaughter, Luna Cannon and many beloved nieces and nephews. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, November 26th at 3:00 pm at United Community Church, 2301 Noralyn Mine Road in Bartow.
