James Northup

James "Jim" Northup 57 of Bartow went home to be with his Lord on Sunday Nov. 1, 2009 from Cancer. Jim was a native of Wachula, Fl and a life long resident of the area. He worked in the phosphate industry and was employed with Mobil Mining and Minerals for twelve years. He was member of the Mount Pisgah Baptist Church in Ft. Meade and also a Navy Veteran. He was a amateur artist and enjoyed mechanics. He was preceded in death by a grandchild Sheyenne and is survived by his parents James and Edith Northup of Bartow; loving wife Rosita "Rose" Northup of Bartow; two sons Jason Northup of Orlando and Jeremy Northup of CA; sister Vickie Masingill and husband Curtis of LA; four grandchildren Juliet, Anastasia, Oryana and Hailey. A visitation will be held Tuesday Nov. 3, 2009 from 6-8pm at the McLean Funeral Home in Ft. Meade and Funeral Services will follow on Wed. at 2pm at The Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Ft. Meade.
