James E. Moore

James E. Moore, age 72, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at his residence in Winter Haven of multiple organ failure. Born January 12, 1941 in Vernon , FL, Mr. Moore was a resident of the area since 1962, moving from North Florida. He was a chemical plant operator & supervisor for IMC/Mosaic Phosphate for many years. He attended the Lakeland Highlands Church of Christ. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, citrus & gardening. He was a former member of the Fin & Feather Club. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Joan Moore; three sons: Thomas Moore, Bartow; Beau Beaube, Winter Haven & James "Eddie" Moore, Orlando; three daughters: Sonya Irwin and husband David, of White Pines, TN; Robyn Jones and husband Bud, Loughman, FL; Leigha Moore, Winter Haven; a brother: Joseph Moore, Bonifay, FL; two sisters: Johnnie Brock, Milton, FL & Jimmie St. Jean, Atlanta, GA; nine grandchildren & one great grandchild. Family will receive friends Friday, April 19, 2013 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow. Memorial services will be held Sunday, April 21, 2013 at 4:30 PM at the Lakeland Highlands Church of Christ, 5730 Lakeland Highlands Road, Lakeland, 33813. Memorials may be made to the Honduras Mission Fund c/o Lakeland Highlands Church of Christ.
