James L. Lacy

James L. Lacy, age 86, passed away Thursday, March 16, 2017 at his home in Bartow. Born July 13, 1930, he was the son of the late Robert and Lila (Harris) Lacy. James was a Baptist. He retired from U.S. Argi-Chemical after over 30 years of service, primarily as a Plant Mechanic. Mr. Lacy is preceded in death by his wife Sara M. Lacy in 2011 and his granddaughter Heather McPhail in 2014. James is survived by a loving family that includes his three children: James L. Lacy, Jr. (Debbie) of Bartow, Steven W. Lacy (Sharon) also of Bartow, and Katherine A. Frances (Tom) of Alturas. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 18, 2017 from 2pm to 3pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow. Funeral services will follow at 3:00pm at the funeral home chapel.
