Bartow - James "Jim" Braunbeck, age 74, passed away 12/3/2011 from complications from diabetes. He was born Sept 30, 1937 in Geneva, OH. Jim started working in the L.P. Gas industry in Sept 1965 as bulk delivery driver with Green's Fuel of FL Corp. He continued to progress in the industry including; LP Gas delivery, Service Manager, Carburetor mechanic, Branch Manager for Texagas Corp of Arcadia, Suburban Propane of Lakeland, Petrolan Dundee the AmeriGas Dundee District Manager and retired after 37 years in 2002. Jim returned partime as a instructor for 9 years. He was a member of Main Street Baptist in Bartow. Auxiliary Sheriff's Dept Captain 1972 to 1982, named Honorary Major in 1984. He was a Past President of Polk County Gas Association, Served 2 terms as District director of the Florida Propane Gas Association. Member of the Engine Power Committee and the Polk County Contractors Licenses & Bond Board from 1998 to present. He is survived by his wife of 28 years Frances Braunbeck of Bartow. Seven Daughters; Diane Blair (Danny) of Bonneau, SC , Tammy Wheeler (Dennis) of Tampa. Bobette Moseley (Ken) of Bartow, Bonnie Gay of Plant City, Sonya Mincey (Wade) of Bartow, Georgianna Whyte of Mulberry & Sara Whyte of Winter Haven, Son; Timothy Gay of Bartow. Grandchildren, Eddie Mitchell (Crystal), Corey Blanton, Courtney Blanton, Dallas Moseley, Jessica Mincey, Ericka Mincey, Bubba Mincey, Caitlin Gay, Taylor Gay, Spencer Gay, Adam Whyte & Trent Albritton. Two Great Grandchildren "LiL" Ed & Pamela Mitchell. Family will receive friends Monday, 12/5/2011 from 10 to 11 AM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held Monday, 12/5/2011, at 11:00 AM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home.
