James "Jim" Walter Ayers

Bartow - James "Jim" Ayers, 84, passed away Monday, October 14, 2019 at his Home in Bartow. He was born December 20, 1934 in Minneapolis, KS to Charles & Martha Ayers. Jim was a Veteran in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Ayers moved to Bartow in 1985, moving from Choctaw, OK, He was a Owner/Manager of Crystal Lake RV. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and Alturas Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, nine siblings and grandson; Mark James Piburn. He is survived by his wife of 63 years Charldine "Charlie" Ayers of Bartow, daughter; Judi Piburn & husband Mark of Lakeland, two sons; Jerry Ayers of Minneapolis, KS and David Ayers & wife Jackie of Fort Meade, granddaughter; Marci Miller of Denver, CO, grandson; Leighton Ayers & wife Jazmine of Dighton, KS and five great grandchildren. A memorial service will be 11:00 am November 16, 2019 at First United Methodist Church in Bartow.  Interment will be held at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.  A Memorial Fund has been established in James "Jim" Ayers name at Sun Trust Bank in Bartow.  Condolences to family at www.whiddenmcleanfuneralhome.com
