James A. "Al" Haggins

James A. "Al" Haggins, 76, of Bartow, died Saturday, June 20, 2009, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center of heart failure. Born December 11, 1932 in Oneonta, AL, Mr. Haggins has been a resident of Bartow for over 54 years. He was the owner & operator of Whit's Supply Company of Bartow. He attended Vineyard Church of God of Bartow. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War & a member of Veteran of Foreign Wars, #2405, Bartow. He was the son of the late Clyde J. Haggins. He is survived by his wife of 53 yrs, Betty A. Haggins of Bartow; son: Richard Haggins of Lithia; daughter: Gloria Anchinsko of Bartow; mother: Iva Haggins of Bartow; four grandchildren: Carrie Palmer & Ryan Anchinsko both of Bartow; Leighann Baker of Brooksville; Scott Haggins of Lithia; two great grandchildren: Madison Palmer of Bartow; & Ansleigh Baker of Brooksville. Family will receive friends Tuesday, June 23, 6-8 pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 24, at 11:00 am at Vineyard Church of God, 490 W.
