James E. Gargus, age 77, passed away Saturday, October 30, 2021 at his residence in Bowling Green, FL. He was born August 31, 1944 in Deering, MO to Wade & Isabelle Gargus. James was a Correctional Officer in Hardee County. He was an avid Chicago Bears fan. He is survived by his wife Carol Gargus, three sons Dennis Gargus (Linda), Robert Gargus (Stormy), Edward Gargus (Lynn), daughter Laura Carver, two brothers Daniel Gargus (Debra), Bob Gargus (Rosemary), two sisters Willie Higgins (Junior), Vickie Smith, twelve grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Family will receive friends Saturday, November 6, 2021 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at McLean Funeral Home, 306 East Broadway in Fort Meade, FL.
