James F. Allen

James F. Allen, 65, of Bartow, died Tuesday, November 10, 2009, at Palm Terrace Hospice in Lakeland. Born March 22, 1944 in Henry County, Indiana, Mr. Allen has been a resident of Bartow since 2001, moving from Anderson, IN. He has a retired salesman and club manager. He was a US Airforce Vietnam veteran. Mr. Allen was a member of the Chesterfield, IN American Legion Post and the Bartow American Legion Post #3. He was a member of the Masonic Order. He attended the Saint Thomas Catholic Church in Bartow. He is survived by his daughter: Catherine M. McClees of Bartow; two granddaughters: Valerie Allen Newby and Christen McClees both of Lakeland. Family will receive friends Sunday November 15, 2009, 4-6 pm at Whidden McLean Funeral Home, Bartow.
