Jacqulyn Singletary

Jacqulyn "Jackey" Singletary, age 87, passed away on Monday, November 9, 2015. Born January 2, 1928 in Mayo, FL, she was the daughter of the late George and Clara Hatch. Mrs. Singletary was a homemaker and a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Bartow. She was a longtime volunteer at Bartow Memorial Hospital and truly loved to dote on all her grandchildren Jackey was preceded in death by her husband James E. Singletary in 2013. She is survived by a loving family that includes three daughters: Cynthia "Sam" McGuirt, Jenny R. Brown (Steve), and Mandy Singletary all of Bartow. She also leaves behind her sister, Doty Hart of Mayo, six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Wednesday November 11th from 10am to 11am at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow. Funeral services will follow at 11:00am at the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Food Pantry at the First Baptist Church, 410 East Church St. in Bartow, or the charity of one's choice.
