Jacob E. "Buddy" Fletcher

Arcadia - Jacob E. "Buddy" Fletcher, age 93, passed away Thursday, February 17, 2022 at his residence in Arcadia. Born March 6, 1928 to Henry Jacob and Ruby Leitner Fletcher in Bartow. Buddy was a resident of Arcadia since 1986, moving from Bartow, He was a graduate of Summerlin Institute and attended the University of Florida. He was a Citrus Grower and Cattleman and former Progress Records Technician with the Florida Department of Transportation for over 25 years. He was a member of the Bartow First Baptist Church. He is proceded in death by his first wife: Katherine Ann Fletcher, his second wife: Barbara Ann Fletcher and his daughter Rebecca Jane Fletcher. He is survived by a loving family which includes: Three daughters: Jackie Bongarts ( Monty ) of Cumming, GA ;Julie Orr ( David ) of Rockhill, SC; and Tami Skinner of Arcadia, FL, seven grandchildren and several great grandchildren. The Family will receive friends Monday February 21, 2022 from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Bartow Wildwood Cemetery.
