Jack A. Thompson

Jack A. Thompson, age 80, was called home on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 in Temple Terrace. Born February 1, 1934 in Homestead, FL, he was the son of the late Arthur and Alma Thompson. Mr. Thompson was a Structural Ironworker and a member of the Ironworkers Local #397 in Tampa. Jack is preceded in death by his wife Jessie Mae Thompson and is survived by two sons; Alan D. Thompson of Tampa, Alex S. Thompson (Margaret) of Plant City, two daughters; Teresa A. Walter (Danny) of Madeira Beach, Cynthia A. Mulvihill (Tom) of Tampa, two siblings; Randy Thompson, and Sara Mathis, nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 13th from 2pm to 4pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow. Funeral services will follow Monday, April 14th at 1:00pm at the funeral home chapel.
