Jack Register

Jack Register, 69, died Sunday, July 12, 2009, at his residence in Winter Haven of heart failure. Born July 2, 1940 in Willow Oak, FL, Mr. Register was a lifelong resident of the area. Mr. Register was a citrus caretaker for Alturas Grove Service for over 22 yrs. He attended the First Baptist Church of Alturas. He is preceded in death by his wife, Lanell P. Register. He is survived by two daughters: Kathy Kmed & companion Tony Masters of Winter Haven; Melinda & husband Louis Humphrey of Lake Wales, 2 sons: Gilford Register and David & wife Brenda Register of Frostproof; 2 sisters: Geneva Hill of Alturas; Charlotte Walker of Bartow; three brothers: Bobby J. Register of Austin, TX; Sherman Register & Charles Register both of Ocala; 7 Grandchildren & 1 great grandchild. Family will receive friends Tuesday, July 14, 2009 , 6-8 pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
