Mr. Jack Meyer, age 77, of Bowling Green, FL, died Saturday, April 4, 2009, at his residence. Mr. Meyer was born November 22, 1931 in Frostproof, FL, where he was an excellent football and baseball player. He later served his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Meyer was employed by Mobil where he was a dragline operator. He attended the Peace River Church of God in Fort Meade. He loved sports and one of his greatest joys was coaching Little League baseball for many years in Fort Meade. He is survived by his Two Daughters, Teresa Meyer Guin of Tuscaloosa, AL and Heather Meyer of Bowling Green, FL. Four Sons, Duane Meyer of Frostproof, Jack Meyer, Jr. of Lakeland, Kevin Meyer and Randall Meyer both of Tuscaloosa, AL. Eight grandchildren and Two Great-Grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by McLean Funeral Home, 306 East Broadway, Fort Meade, FL, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, April 10, 2009. Funeral service will be at McLean Funeral Home at 10:00 AM Saturday, April 11, 2009 , Rev. Larry D. Barrentine officiating. Interment will be at Silver Hill Cemetery in Frostproof, FL.
