Mr. Jack Hacker, age 59, passed away from heart failure Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at home in Lakeland. Born October 2, 1949 in Richmond, KY, he was a longtime Lakeland resident. Mr. Hacker owned and operated Southern Air Compressor Services. He was a member of the First Baptist Church at the Mall. He was a mason and a member of the Corinthian Lodge #191 in Mulberry, a member of the Bartow 4th of July Committee, and a Kentucky Colonel. He is survived by a loving family that includes his wife of 35 years, Teresa Hacker of Lakeland, his son Chris Hacker (Leah) of Lakeland, and his daughter Aimee Hacker also of Lakeland. He also leaves behind three grandchildren; Chloe Hacker, Breanna Hacker, and Ava Hacker, his brothers; Ralph Hacker, Joe Wayne Hacker, and his sister Carolyn Ashley. Family will receive friends Tuesday, April 21st from 5 to 6pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home 650 East Main Street in Bartow. Services will follow at 6:00 pm at the funeral home chapel.
