Jack E. Clanton

Mr. Jack E. Clanton, age 81, of Bartow, FL, died Sunday, September 16, 2007, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in Lakeland. Mr. Clanton was born January 23, 1926 in High Shoals, NC. He graduated in 1960 from Florida Southern College and then received his masters degree from the University of South Florida. Mr. Clanton was a Educator for over 30 years. He was the founder of the Psychological Counsel Center at James E. Stephens Elementary. He was the former Treasurer/Secretary of the Polk Education Association and a member of the Guardian Ad Litem program. He was a member of Unitarian church in Lakeland. He also enjoyed tennis and was an artist. He is survived by his wife Guynelle S.
