Jack Norman Allen

December 13, 1920 — November 24, 2008

Mr. Jack Norman Allen 87 died Nov. 24, 2008 at the Desoto Health and Rehabilitation Center from Heart Failure. A native of Billings, Montana he moved to the area from Alabama in 1952. Jack was a retired Yard Supervisor from the Ben Hill Griffin Packing Plant. He was a WWII Marine Corp Veteran and attended the Unity Freewill Baptist Church in Mulberry. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Lucille Allen and four sons. Jack is survived by a daughter Barbara June Dyal and husband Hollis of Arcadia; Son Charles Allen and wife Julie of Bartow; Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and his loving companion Tippy. A visitation will be held Friday Nov. 28, 2008 from 6-8pm at the Whidden-McLean Funeral Home Chapel, Bartow. Graveside Funeral Services will follow on Saturday Nov. 29, 2008 at 10am at Gandy Cemetery, Connersville, FL. Condolences may be sent to the family at whiddenmcleanfuneralhome.com
