J. Lee King

J. Lee King, 79, died Sunday, February 24, 2008, at Winter Haven Hospital of respiratory faillure. A native of Geneva, Ala, Mr. King was a longtime resident of Bartow. He was a heavy equipment operator with the I.U.O.E. Local Union # 487. He was an Army veteran serving during the Korean conflict. He was a member of First Assembly of God, Bartow. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Vivian L. King. He is survived by his son: Robert King of Bartow; grandson: David King of Highland City; granddaughter: Barbara Jean King of Waterbury, Conn; 2 great Grandsons: Dylan King of Highland City & Nathan Shulick of Waterbury. Family will receive friends Wednesday, Feb 27, 6-8 pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow. Funeral services will be held Thursday, 11 am at Bartow First Assembly of God, 915 S. Broadway, Bartow.
