Irmgard S Spotorno

Mrs. Irmgard S. Spotorno, age 75, passed away from heart failure Tuesday, February 9, 2010 in Winter Haven. Born December 17, 1934 in Berlin, Germany, Mrs. Spotorno has been a resident of Winter Haven since 1993 moving from Daytona Beach at that time. Mrs. Spotorno was the owner and operator of a hair salon where she also worked as a cosmetologist. She attended Saint Joseph's Catholic Church in Winter Haven. She was also a member of the Winter Haven Bridge Club and the Winter Haven Quilters' Club. She is survived by a loving family that includes her husband of 53 years, Anthony Spotorno of Winter Haven, her son Tony Spotorno and wife Eva of Orlando, and her daughter Margarete Shaw and husband Stephen of Winter Haven. She also leaves behind three sisters; Gisela Schafer of New Jersey, Inga Wilson of North Carolina, Brigitta Bonville of Ormand Beach, and two grandchildren; Tony Spotorno and Matthew Spotorno of both of Orlando. Arrangements are being handled by Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, 650 East Main Street in Bartow where family will receive friends Friday, February 12th from 5pm to 7pm.
