Irene Fountain Trask

Irene Fountain Trask, 78, passed away Friday, February 13, 2015, in Lakeland at the home of her niece, Denise Dansby (DJ) after a long bout with cancer; she now resides in heaven. Irene was born in Lakeland on October 22, 1936. Mrs. Trask and her husband owned & operated Flora & Ella's Restaurant in LaBelle for over 20 years. She is survived by her husband, Senator Alan Trask, daughters, Debbie Klemmer (David) of LaBelle, Sheryl Prickett of Scipio, Ind., step daughters, Jane Ganey of Lake Placid, Mary Trask of Bartow; son, John Roudabush of Marianna, step sons, Don Trask (Donna) of Seminole and Ken Trask (Karen) of Fort Myers; fourteen grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. Along with her parents and siblings, Irene was preceded in death by son, Scott Burchard and step son, Bill Trask. Irene was known for her love of the Lord and was a member of the First Assembly of God of Fort Myers. She was also known for her great sense of humor, her quick wit, and she never met a stranger. The family will receive friends on Thursday, Feb. 19, at 1:00 P.M. at the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, 205 E. Stanford St. in Bartow (33830), followed by a funeral service at 2:00 P.M., and her burial at the Wildwood Cemetery in Bartow. Memorials may be made to Cornerstone Hospice.
