Irene B. Modrall

Irene B. Modrall, 72, passed away Monday, July 19, 2010, at her residence at Lake Rosalie. Born April 17, 1938 in Conway, S.C., Mrs. Modrall was a resident of Lake Wales for 7 yrs, moving from Bartow where she had been a longtime resident. She was an Assistant Vice President for Citrus & Chemical Bank of Bartow for many years. She was also affiliated with Murphy Motors of Bartow for several years. She was a former member of the Bartow Lioness Club. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Bartow. She was preceded in death by her daughter: Fran Modrall. She is survived by her husband of 53 years: Robert F. "Bob" Modrall of Lake Wales; son: Bob M. & wife Elizabeth Modrall of Bartow; 3 brothers: Neal Bryant of Myrtle Beach, SC; Wayne Bryant of Conway, SC; Pat Bryant of Hubert, NC; 5 sisters: Bernice Chestnut of Highland City, FL; Barbara Kennedy of Myrtle Beach, SC; Annette Byrd of Myrtle Beach, SC; Sylvia Venson of Columbia, SC; Debra Collins of Hubert, NC; granddaughter: Laura Modrall & grandson: Robert Modrall both of Bartow. Family will receive friends Wednesday, July 21, 6-8 pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home Home, Bartow. Funeral services will be held 11;00 am Thursday, July 22, at the funeral home. Interment will be at Bartow Wildwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be madeto the F.S.U. Foundation, 2010 Levy Ave., Building B, Suite 300, Tallahassee, FL 32306, C/O Fran Modrall Scholarship.
