Hyla B. Fisher

Hyla B Fisher, age 86, passed away on Thursday, March 1, 2018 in Dade City, Florida. Born in Bryan, Ohio, on January 25, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Edgar A. Votaw and Melissa (Ford) Votaw. A member of the BHS class of 1949, and graduate of Ravenscroft Beauty College, Hyla worked many years as a hair dresser, both in Bryan, Ohio and in Zephyrhills, Florida. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings: Harold Votaw Sr., Helen Shaw Smith and Hilda Mae Votaw. Also preceding her in death was her son, Gayle A. Fisher, Jr. Hyla is survived by her children, Vilinda Lemons (Jerry) of Bryan, Ohio and Robert Fisher of Lithia, Florida. Hyla also leaves behind six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow, Florida, has been entrusted with final arrangements. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org
