Howard "Howie" Carlisle Beynon, Sr.

Fort Meade – Howard "Howie" Carlisle Beynon, Sr., age 78, passed away Monday, September 28, 2026. Born on July 18, 1948, in Tampa, FL, to Howard and Glenna Beynon, Howie grew up in the Frostproof and Fort Meade areas, where he built a life rooted in family, faith, and community.

Howie proudly served in the US Army National Guard and went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of South Florida. He was a longtime citrus grower who found his faith and worshiped at the First Baptist Church of Fort Meade.

Above all, Howie was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was a wonderful storyteller who delighted in sharing tales with those around him, and his stories will be treasured and retold for years to come. He always thought of others first and was never one to hesitate in offering a helping hand whenever he could.

He was reunited in heaven with his beloved wife, Linda Dawn Durrance Beynon. Howie is survived by his children, Howard "H.C." Carlisle Beynon, Jr. and his wife Misty Gale Beynon, and Emily Jane Beynon Traviesa and her husband David Brawner Traviesa; his treasured grandchildren, Allison Kate Beynon, Katie Lyn Beynon, Easton Brawner Traviesa, and Luke Carlisle Traviesa; his sister, Debbie Hall and her husband Lloyd; and his brother, Joe Beynon and his wife Debbie.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 am at First Baptist Church of Fort Meade. A celebration of Howie's life will follow at 11:00 am at the same location.
