Herman Ray Atwell

Herman Ray Atwell, 79, passed away Saturday, September 3, 2011 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center of health complications. Herman was born June 13, 1932 , in Fort Meade. Mr. Atwell was a lifelong resident of Fort Meade. He was a US Navy Veteran. He was retired from USS Agri Chemicals. Mr. Atwell was preceded in death by his parents, George Sr. and Hattie Atwell, one brother, George Atwell, Jr. and one sister Jewell Bloomfield. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Patsy S. Atwell; sisters-in-law:Verna Atwell and Linda Carroll & husband James Peirce Carroll of Fort Meade; numerous cousins, neices and nephews. Family will receive friends from 1 to 2 pm at the First Baptist Church, 307 E. Broadway in Fort Meade on Thursday, September 8, 2011. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM, at the church.
