Henry Solomon

Henry Solomon, age 91, passed away from natural causes Monday, December 26, 2011 in Winter Haven. Born January 1, 1920 in Kirkland, GA, Mr. Solomon was a longtime resident of Winter Garden. It was there that he owned and operated Solomon's Paint and Body Shop for many years. Mr. Solomon was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also was a member and attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Lake Wales Ward. Mr. Solomon is survived by loving family that includes his wife of 68 years, Margaret Solomon, two daughters; Brenda Jones (Warren) of Orem, UT, Phyllis Fox (David) of Bartow, four sons; Robert Solomon (Liz) of Ocoee, David Solomon (Lisa) of Clermont, Dennis Solomon (Edith) of Winter Garden, and Brian Solomon (Natalie) of Saint Cloud. He also leaves behind twenty-nine grandchildren, many great and great great grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, 650 East Main St. in Bartow where the family will receive friends Thursday, Dec. 29th from 6PM to 8PM. Funeral services will follow Friday, Dec. 30th at 11:00AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Lake Wales Ward, 1024 Burns Ave. in Lake Wales. Interment will follow at Wildwood Cemetery in Bartow.
