Helen Mizell Scott

Bartow - Helen Mizell Scott, age 82, passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at Winter Haven Hospital of respiratory failure. Born March 15, 1932 in Mora, GA, Mrs. Scott was a resident of Bartow since 1954, moving from Georgia. She was a Register Nurse serving at Polk General Hospital, Bartow Memorial Hospital and as a clinic nurse for Dr. Thomas Caswall at Miller, Caswall, Coury & Nobo Medical Clinic in Bartow for many years. She was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church of Auburndale . She is survived by three daughters: Diane Starling (Johnny), Lake Buffum; Carolyn Hendrix (Richard), Bartow; & Barbara Mizell (Cody), Bartow; five grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, & two great great grandchildren. Family will receive friends Friday, September 19, 2014 from 6-8 P.M. at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 20, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
