Helen K. Johnson

Helen K. Johnson, age 95, passed away Thursday, January 27, 2011, at the Rohr Nursing Home in Bartow. Born January 28, 1915 in West Caldwell, NJ, Mrs. Johnson has been a resident of Bartow since 1973, moving from Newton, NJ. She was a licensed practical nurse in the healthcare industry for many years. She was a member of Vineyard Church of God in Bartow and was a foster mother for over 100 children. She is preceded in death by her husband: Virgil K. Johnson & 2 daughters: Linda Kirk & Kathleen Johnson and a grandchild, Joey Johnson. She is survived by her daughter: Joanna Johnson of Bartow; 3 sons: Edward J. Johnson of Mulberry; Ronald H. Johnson of Winter Haven; Michael R Johnson of Mulberry: 5 grandchildren & 5 great grandchildren. Family will receive friends Monday, January 31st from 6PM to 8PM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, February 1st at 10:00AM at the funeral home chapel.
