Harold "Gus" Mizelle, Jr.

Harold A. "Gus" Mizelle, age 67, passed away Monday, July 17, 2017 in Tampa. Born January 10, 1950 in Statesboro, GA, he was the son of the late Harold A. and Martha (Smith) Mizelle. Gus retired from of I.M.C., where he was a Maintenance Planner. He also had worked for Tampa Armature Works for several years. Mr. Mizelle was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. Gus is survived by his wife of 41 years, Glenda A. Mizelle of Bartow, his two sons: Greg Mizelle of Lakeland, Harold Mizelle of Winter Haven, his sister Dixie Yearta (Marshall) of Bartow, and three grandchildren: Wesley Hammons, Hannah Hammons, and Gregory Mizelle. The family will receive friends Thursday, July 20th from 6pm to 8pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow. Funeral services will follow Friday, July 21st at 10:00am at the funeral home chapel. Interment with military honors will be in Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell at 2:30pm on Friday.
