Bartow- Harold L. Broadrick, age 81, died Friday, January 21, 2011, at his residence in Bartow of heart failure. Born August 2, 1929 in Tampa, FL. Mr. Broadrick has been a resident of Bartow since 1952, moving from Columbus, GA. Mr. Broadrick was owner & operator of Hal's Auto Service & Hal's 66 Service Station in Bartow for many years. He was an aircraft, automobile & steam engine mechanic most of his life. He was an US Air Force & Maritime Veteran of WW II & Korea. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bartow. He is survived by his wife of 58 years: Elsie Odelle Broadrick of Bartow; a son: Jeff Broadrick of Bartow; a daughter: Sharon Broadrick of Lakeland; five grandchildren: Jeffery Broadrick & Gabriella Broadrick, both of Tavares, FL; Anthony Cook & Erica Cook both of Lakeland & Eric Cook of Pierce, FL; 5 great grandchildren: Amarion, Eric Jr, Mekyhi, Armani & Zoe. Family will receive friends Monday, January 24, 2011, at 6-8 pm Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Interment with military honors will be held in Wildwood Cemetery.
