Hardy Owen Pickard, Iii

Hardy Owen Pickard, III, age 70, passed away suddenly on January 31, 2018.  Hardy was born February 4, 1947 to parents Hardy & Nancy Pickard (deceased) in Columbia, Tennessee.   He attended Bartow schools and received his B.A. & J.D. in law from the University of Florida.  He was employed in the office of the State Attorney Tenth Judicial Circuit in Bartow for his entire career.  He started out as an Assistant State Attorney and worked his way up to Chief Prosecutor of the Felony Division.   When not working he would umpire Little League Baseball and loved attending Lightning Hockey and Florida Gator Football games.  Hardy enjoyed spending time with his brothers Ralph (Theresa) Pickard of Bartow and Bill (Kelly) Pickard of Blairsville, GA, He also loved his three sisters, Nancy (Gary) Ham of Plant City, Sally (Ben) Poole of Ocala and Patty (David) Hart of Bartow.  He was loved and loved in return by his many nephews and nieces as well. The Family will receive friends Saturday, February 3, 2018 from 1 to 2 pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow, FL, followed by the Funeral service 2:00 pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home.  Interment will be at Wildwood Cemetery in Bartow, FL.  In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions can be made to the charity of your choice. Condolences to family at www.whiddenmcleanfuneralhome.com
