Gwendolyn Chesser

Gwendolyn Chesser, age 79, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at Winter Haven Hospital. She was born July 26, 1944 in Alma, GA to Aaron Harold & Annie Merle Sellers. She was a Bookkeeper by profession. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Lake Wales, where she was the song leader. She was proceeded in death by her parents, husband Ira Jay Chesser Jr., and sister Mary. She is survived by her daughter Pamela "Joy" Monk of Auburndale, two sons Ira “Jay” Chesser, III (Wendee) of Saint Petersburg and Steven Chesser (Julie), Lithia, FL, three brothers Alton Sellers (Diane) of Savannah, GA, Ronald Sellers (Carol) of Richmond Hill, GA, Michael Sellers (Ginger) of Texas, sister Marilyn Howard (Jimmy) of Guyton, GA, eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. A celebration of life memorial will be held on November 18th at Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Plant City FL. Visitation will start at 10:00 am, service at 11:00 am, followed by dinner on the grounds.
