Gus S. Gross

Mr. Gus S. Gross, age 82 passed away on September 4, 2011 at his home in Bartow. Mr. Gross was born on October 15, 1928 in Boston Precinct, KY. He was a Machinist by trade and a Mason. He was a member ofthe Golden Ark Lodge #595 in Taylor, MI. Mr. Gross was preceded in death by two daughters; Singie Halfmann and Rebecca Lawson. He is survived by a loving family that includes his wife of 64 years, Hazel Madeline Gross of Bartow, two sons; Jeff Gross and wife Penny of Ashford, NC, Madison Gross and wife Alayne of North Cove, NC, daughter Harriette Phelps and husband Brian of Brownstown, MI, and brother Otto Gross of Woodlawn, NC. He also leaves behind eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted by Westmoreland Funeral Home and Crematory in Marion, North Carolina.
