Gregory R. Crum

Bartow- Gregory R. Crum, 61, of Bartow, passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2012 of cancer. A lifelong resident of Bartow, he spent most of his career in the financial industry, as a banker and later a stockbroker. He enjoyed serving the community and was past president of the Bartow Breakfast Rotary Club; member of the May Bluff Hunt Club, the American Heart Association and board member of the American Cancer Society. He loved sports and spent many hours coaching baseball and soccer. His greatest love was for his family. He lived vicariously through the lives of his four sons. He was preceded in death by his father Veterinarian Dr. J. B. Crum; Greg is survived by a loving family that includes his mother; Betty Mac Crum, Bartow; four sons: Matt Crum, Bartow; Ben Crum, Lakeland; Josh Crum, Tampa; Zach Crum, Lakeland; two brothers: Stephen J. Crum, Arlington, VA & John M. Crum, Winter Haven; twin sister: Sharon Peterson, Columbus, OH.& two grandchildren: Emilio & Enzo Crum. Family will receive friends Wednesday, May 16, 2012, 6:00-8:00 PM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, 650 E. Main St, Bartow. A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, May 17, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Saint Thomas Catholic Church, 2180 S. Kissingen Ave, Bartow.
