Gregory Allen Albritton

Gregory Allen Albritton, November 1, 1960 - May 15, 2025. Another Florida Cracker Cowboy has left this earth for the wide open pastures of the Great Beyond. Greg, as his friends called him, was born in Wauchula on November 1, 1960 to William & Aris Albritton, After finishing school in Hardee County, Greg, having grown up around cows and horses, took a job managing the 5R Ranch in Lake Wales. After 15 years he went to day working on the numerous Ranches in Polk and Surrounding Counties. Rough & tough as a cowboy needs to be, at times there was a gentleness within him that made him an expert with training horses. You need to know anything about a cow or a horse? Ask Greg...he knew all!!! Greg died at his home in Fort Meade with family and friends by his side. He is survived by his boys Jimbo Albritton & family in Oxford, FL and Gordy Wayne & family from St. Cloud, FL, his son Dale Albritton preceded him in death in 2021, and lastly among the numerous friends was his special friend & caregiver Brenda. Ride on Cowboy, Ride on to God's Greenest Pastures... A Private memorial service will be held at a later date. I'm a cowboy in heaven; like I always prayed to be, I'm a cowboy in heaven; still in awe at all I see. My life began the day I died, cause now here on the other side, I'm a cowboy in heaven; but why would God do this for me.
