Grady Alton Weeks

Grady Alton Weeks 68 of Bartow passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at his daughters residence in Fort Meade. Born in Childrens Home, Alabama on January 26, 1943 he moved to the local area as a young teenager. Alton worked in the Phosphate Industry for forty years retiring from Mosaic with eighteen years as a Dragline Operator. Of the Pentecostal Faith he was also a Citrus grower and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Grady and Rosa Mae Weeks, infant child Cynthia Gail Weeks, infant grandaughter Star Spears and son in law Ronnie Spears. Alton is survived by daughters Rhonda Spears of Fort Meade and Cindy Baine and husband Ricky of Fort Meade. Sisters Mary "Mae" Lamb of Winter Haven and B.J. Gewin of Orlando. Grandchildren Trey Matthews, Trevan Spears, Trenton Spears, Travis Spears, Ricky Baine II, Keilan Baine and Jenna Baine. Great grandchild Alyssa Matthews. A visitation will be held on Friday, Jan. 20th from 6-8pm at McLean Funeral Home in Fort Meade with Funeral services to follow on Saturday at 11am at the Fort Meade Worship Center 202 West Broadway, Fort Meade, FL 33841. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
