Grace L. Simmons, age 73, of Bartow, died Saturday, January 31, 2009, at her residence in Bartow. Born February 17, 1935 in Watertown, NY, Mrs. Simmons has been a resident of Bartow 48 yrs, moving from Virginia. Mrs. Simmons was a nurse assistant at Polk General Hospital fpr ,any years. She attended the Redemption Baptist Church of Wahneta. She is survived by her daughter: Jacqueline L. Chancey of Winter Haven; son; Thomas Mac Gray of Winter Haven & Henry Norman Gray of Bartow; 7 grandchildren & 5 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Thursday, Feb 5, 2009 at 6:00 pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home Bartow, FL. Condolences to family at www.whiddenmcleanfuneralhome.com
