Gerald R. "Jake" Bryan, 71, passed away Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Bartow Regional Medical Center of heart failure. Born September 13, 1941 in Bowling Green , FL, Mr. Bryan was a resident of Bartow for 66 years, moving from Bowling Green. He was a member of the Lake Ruth Baptist Church. Mr. Bryan was preceeded in death by his mother: Ann Frymire and two brothers: Martin Bryan & John Frymire. He is survived by two nieces: Karen Kendrick (Ronnie) of Bartow & Tina McGuire (Todd) of Highland City; two nephews: Tim Bryan (Laurie) of Bartow & John Bryan (Dorcus) of Bartow. Family will receive friends Monday, December 3, 2012 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Whidden- McLean Funeral Home, Bartow. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 4, 2012, at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Bartow Wildwood Cemetery, Condolences to family at www.whiddenmcleanfuneralhome.com
