Georgia P. Eastman

Bartow - Georgia P. Eastman, 98, passed away Friday, August 9, 2013 at her residence in Bartow of natural causes. Born September 17, 1914 in Taylor County, FL, Mrs. Eastman was a resident of Bartow for 13 years moving from Mulberry where she had been a resident for over 48 years. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Mulberry where she was very active serving as Past President of the Women's Missionary Union and Director of the Girls Auxiliary. She also served as Sunday School and Bible School Teacher for many years. Mrs. Eastman was preceded by her husband of 54 years; James H. Eastman and daughter, Lola Harleman. She is survived by three daughters: Blanche Bryant & husband Sam, Homeland, FL; Georgia A. Eastman & husband John Stuart, Memphis, TN; Cindi Beahm, Lakeland; sister: Cappy Mesa, Jacksonville, FL; four grandchildren: Rebecca Mohan, Ian Penhallegon, John Eastman-Stuart & Dustin Penhallegon & three great grandchildren. Family will receive friends Tuesday, August 13, 2013 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:00 AM at the funeral home.
