George O. Rothrock, 71, died Friday, April 2, 2010, at Bartow Regional Medical Center of heart failure. Born May 21, 1938 in Bartow, Fl, Mr. Rothrock was a lifelong resident of Bartow. He was a Supply Officer for the Polk County Fire Dept for 16 yrs & formerly with Estech Chemical Co for 25 yrs. He was a member of the Starcraft Camping Club. He is survived by his wife: Renee Rothrock; son: Gary & wife Shawn Rothrock; daughter: Karen & husband James Starling; sister: Patricia & husband John Wright; grandchildren: Ryan Starling, Kaylie Starling, Kassidee Starling & Lyssa Rothrock all of Bartow. Several nieces & nephews. Family will receive friends Monday, Apr 5, 6-8 pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Apr. 6, 10:00 am at the funeral home.
