George H. Howard

George H. "Junior" Howard, age 75, died Thursday September 18, 2008 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. Born April 18, 1933 in Logan, West Virginia, Mr. Howard worked as a coal miner for 33 years. He was a baptist and had been a Bartow resident for the past 24 years. Mr. Howard was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. He is survived by his wife Clara Howard of Bartow, four sons; George H. Howard of Wichita, KS, Paul E. Howard of Bartow, Timothy James Howard of Lakeland, Wayne Mason Howard of Phoenix, AZ, and a daughter Diane Lynn Terrill of Thompsonville, IL. He also leaves behind fifteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Howard's honor to Lifelink Foundation, 409 Bayshore Blvd. Tampa, FL 33606.
