George F. Conley

George F. Conley, age 83, passed away Saturday, December 29, 2018 in Bartow, Born June 14, 1935 in Tampa, FL, he was the son of the late Harold F. and Viola (Sexton) Conley. Mr. Conley was a Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Alturas. George owned and operated Energy Enterprises Inc. and Combustion Systems Inc. He worked in the industrial power industry for many years. Mr. Conley was also a certified airplane pilot and instructor. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Margaret McConahie. He is survived by a loving family that includes his wife of 26 years, Flora Young Graddy Conley of Bartow, his children: Wayne Graddy (Sherry) of Bartow, Dayne Graddy (Tina) of Dayton,TX, John Reynolds of Syracuse, NY and Janan Leucke (Bill) of Dublin, GA. He also leaves behind three sisters: Sue Lyon of Tampa, Barbara Temby (Bill) of Sanford, Laura Spencer of Jacksonville, nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 4th from 1pm to 2pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow, Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00pm at the funeral home chapel.
