Genevieve Ellen Bailey, beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Sister, passed away and returned to her Father in Heaven on October 14, 2010.
Born January 14, 1924, in Mincey, Missouri, her family relocated to Great Bend, Kansas. Growing up, she broke and trained horses. She enjoyed a life of many adventures, eventually relocating to Plant City, Florida, and engaging in a career in real estate sales.
Genevieve was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne Earl Lough and Nellie Victoria Southard. She is survived by her brother, Bill (Marianne) Lough, of Kansas, and by her son, Bill (Susie) Bailey, and her four grandchildren, Erika, Allison, Nathan, and Benjamin.
A woman of strong faith, Genevieve joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in 1972, where she was a beloved teacher of children. Genevieve loved horses, her family, her church, and her Savior Jesus Christ.
A viewing will be held Tuesday, October 19, 2010, at 2pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 5850 Lakeland Highlands Road, Lakeland, Florida. The funeral service will follow at 3pm.
