It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the passing of Geneva Gupton, a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, who left us peacefully on June 27, 2026, at the age of 67. Geneva was born on March 18, 1959, in the beautiful state of North Carolina, to Joe Ann Lassiter and Peter Austin Gupton.
Geneva was a beacon of love and generosity, a woman whose heart was as boundless as the sky and whose compassion knew no limits. She dedicated her life to being an extraordinary mother and grandmother, roles she embraced with unwavering devotion and a profound sense of joy. Her family was her world, and she nurtured them with a love that was both fierce and tender.
She was a valued member of the Willow Oak Church of God in Mulberry, FL, where her faith guided her actions and her spirit enriched the community. Her kindness extended beyond her family; Geneva was always there to lend a helping hand to those in need, never asking for anything in return, embodying the true spirit of selflessness.
Geneva was predeceased by her beloved parents, Joe Ann and Peter, and her dear sister, Sally Gupton. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her surviving family: her sons, Jody Gupton, David Gupton, Thomas "TJ" Sampson; her daughters, Patricia Marsh, Clintanna Renea Gupton; and sister Wilma (Lee) Flickinger Her family tree continues to bloom with the blessings of 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, each a testament to the love and values she instilled.
Her passions included sewing, a craft through which she created warmth and comfort, and spending time with her children and grandchildren, moments she treasured above all else.
Geneva's life was a tapestry of love, woven with threads of kindness, laughter, and sacrifice. Though her earthly journey has come to a close, Geneva's spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched. Her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.
