Bartow- General "Lee" Hunt Jr., 77 of Bartow, died on Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at Highlands Lake Center in Lakeland from complications of dementia, Born July 31, 1933 in Orange Heights, FL, Mr Hunt has lived in Bartow since 1958, moving from Gainesville, FL. He was a industrial mechanic for IMC phosphate for 31 years. He attended the Pentecostal Church of God. He was a veteran of the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his wife of 50 yrs, Mary Erlene Hunt; son Gerry L. Hunt & wife Marilyn of Lakeland; daughter: Misty D. Peacock & husband Douglas of Lakeland; brother: Jimmy F. Hunt of Greensville, FL; sister: Dorothy Dean of Santa Cruz, CA & 5 grandchildren: Julia Karne & husband Glenn, Tiffany Sackett & husdand Brandon, Matthew Hunt, Samuel Peacock & Douglas Peacock, Jr.& one future great grandchild. Family will recieve friends Saturday , April 9, 2011, 1:00- 2:00 pm Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, 650 E. Main St, Bartow. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 at the funeral home.
