Brooksville- Gary A. Braswell, Sr, 56, of Brooksville, died Tuesday, February 16, 2010, at H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa from complications of Leukemia. Born September 23, 1953 in Bartow, FL, Mr. Braswell was a lifelong resident of central Florida, moving to Brooksville ten years ago.. He was a sales representive in the truss industry. He was of the Pentecostal faith. He enjoyed building, karioke & Nascar. He was preceded in death by his father Joseph H. Braswell. He is survived by his wife of 23 years: Brenda L. Braswell of Brooksville; two daughters; Sherry Horn of Lakeland & Lisa Hall of Brooksville; two sons: Gary Braswell, Jr. of Lakeland & Justin Braswell of Brooksville; mother: Frankie Braswell of Winter Haven; sister: Linda Fuqua of Winter Haven; two brothers: Joe Braswell of Auburndale & Larry Braswell of Bartow; 4 grandchildren: Garrett, D.J, Trista & Ava. Family will receive friends Friday, Feb 19, 6-8 pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, 650 E. Main Street, Bartow. Funeral services will be held Saturday, 1:00 pm at the funeral home..
