Freida Putnel Crawford

Freida Crawford, age 84, passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2026. She was born September 2, 1941 in Wimauma, FL to Julian & Rosa Lee Putnel. Freida was a member of the Church of Christ in Fort Meade. She was a devoted wife mother and grandmother known by many as Granny. Freida loved spending time with her family, shopping and was an excellent cook. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Oren Crawford and daughter Joan Lockwood. Freida is survived by her daughter Theresa & Tim Rosenberg of Wauchula, two sons Gary & Carey Crawford of Wauchula and Dale & Brandy Crawford of Fort Meade, sister Elaine & Ron Enfield of Dade City, twelve grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. Family will receive friends Friday, May 22, 2026 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at McLean Funeral Home in Fort Meade, FL. Funeral service will be 10:00 am Saturday, May 23, 2026, at the Church of Christ, 419 S. Orange Ave in Fort Meade, FL. Burial will be held at Paynes Creek Cemetery in Bowling Green, FL.
