Frederick "Fred" John Bohde

Bartow - Frederick "Fred" John Bohde, age 83, passed away Saturday, August 17, 2024. He was born May 4, 1941 in New York City, NY to William & Nettie Bohde, Fred was a Captain in the US Army Reserve. He was a Citrus Consultant. He was a member First Presbyterian Church of Bartow. Fred was the past President, Lt. Governor and member of Bartow Kiwanis Club, past President of the Bartow Chamber of Commerce, American Society of Agronomy a certified crop advisor and a past Board Member of the Bartow Memorial Hospital. He was preceded in death by his wife Sylvia Bohde and sister Jane Bohde Strickland. Fred is survived by his three sons Bill Bohde & wife Kelly, Greg Bohde & wife Kelli, John Bohde & wife Denise all of Bartow and nine grandchildren Houston (Lauren), Jake, Ashtyn, Melanie, Wade, Christian, Camille, Luke and Anna. Family will receive friends Tuesday, August 20, 2024 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow. Funeral service will be 11:00 am Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at First Presbyterian Church of Bartow.
