Fort Meade - Fred Donnett Harrison, age 89, passed away Thursday, June 4, 2026. He was born June 25, 1936 in Milligan, FL to Claude Harrison & Mary Etta Boutwell. Don was a Veteran in the US Army. He worked 28 years for U.S. Agri-Chemicals, first as a welder, and later as a Manager, then Sumter Sand & Silica, followed by 25 years with Florida Machine and Welding. Don loved music and played in the "Golden Years Country Band". He was preceded in death by his parents, his half sister Mary Ruth Westbrook-Addkison, and granddaughter Adrienne Altman. Don is survived by his wife Bertha Harrison, three daughters Mary Ann Foreman, Linda Pridgen (James) and Frances Sherry (Dan), two step sons George Vazeos and Joe Vazeos (Charlene), two half brothers Wayne Westbrook (Joy) and Jimmy Westbrook (Sandra), seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Family will receive friends Monday, June 8, 2026 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at McLean Funeral Home in Fort Meade, FL. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 am Monday, June 8, 2026, at McLean Funeral Home. Burial will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Fort Meade, FL.
